UNWANTED HAIR

Most of us have hair in all the wrong places and maintain a constant battle with trying to get rid of it.  There are many ways to remove hair, and most of these date back to Egyptian times.

Waxing, shaving and depilatory creams are temporary.  Electrolysis, depending on the therapist, can be successful but it remains slow, painful and large areas are difficult to treat effectively, with scarring as a very real possibility. Men and women spend billions of pounds each year to eliminate unwanted hair utilising methods that often provide short-term or ineffective solutions.

More serious symptoms of unwanted hair can be Pseudofolliculitis Barbae (PFB) - PFB, or razor bumps, this is a common condition in which the regrowing hair, after shaving, curves back towards and pierces the skin resulting in a pustule or papule. PFB is very prevalent in populations with curly hair, affecting nearly 85% of men of African decent and a growing number of women.

People can also suffer from Excessive Hair growth disorders, namely Hirsuitism – affecting women only  where hair growth mimics typical male growth patterns, often a symptom of hormonal abnormalities, such as poly cystic ovaries.

Also,  Hypertrichosis, this is when hair grows in the typical areas but it does so excessively, often caused by genetics, stress or periods of hormonal changes i.e pregnancy or menopause.

The LightSheer's excellent safety profile for all skin types including the darkest skin makes it a safe, effective and revolutionary alternative for the treatment of all this hair growth conditions.
